1. Halloween - This was the first horror movie that scared me. That mask. That music. That breathing. Enough said.
2. Seven - Whoa. There are no words.
3. Silence of the Lambs - Buffalo Bill prancing around in the nude with his goods tucked underneath is reason enough to find this movie extremely disturbing and frightening.
4. Poltergeist - I wasn't allowed to watch this movie, but I snuck away and watched it anyway... couldn't sleep for weeks afterwards. Guess there was a reason mom didn't want me watching it.
5. Zodiac - Okay, I'm a grown woman and would love to say that movies don't scare me anymore, but that would be a lie. When I watched Zodiac I had nightmares afterwards. It's the "based on a true story" ones that really get me.
